I wanted to share something close to my heart—something that’s shaped not just my skin, but my life, and ultimately, why I started MĀSK.
For a long time, I wore a mask.
Not the kind we sell—the kind you can’t see.
The one I created to hide my acne, my insecurities, and the deep feeling that I wasn’t enough unless my skin was perfect. I caked on makeup. I avoided mirrors. I smiled when I didn’t feel like smiling. I wore that invisible mask everywhere—to work, with friends, even when I was alone.
I know I’m not the only one who’s felt that way.
My healing didn’t begin with a serum or a facial. It started with slowing down. With listening to my body. With letting plants and food and nervous system work guide me back to myself. Slowly, I began shedding those old layers—not just on my skin, but emotionally.
That’s when the idea for MĀSK came to me.
I didn’t want to make products that helped people cover up. I wanted to create something that helped people reveal—to feel safe in their skin, just as they are.
MĀSK isn’t just about what’s in the jar (though we take great care to use the most nourishing, organic botanicals). It’s about creating space to unlearn the belief that you need to hide. But the real magic? It's how they make people feel—calm, seen, and reconnected.
This year, we were honored to receive the 2025 Aesthetician’s Choice Award for Best Sheet Mask from Dermascope. We’ve partnered with spas across the country who are bringing our rituals into their treatment rooms. But what means the most to me are your stories—the messages where you tell me you finally feel confident without makeup, or that our products make you feel like you again.
That is why I do this.
